AUS ROLE

AUS was engaged by ESC’s M4 Smart Motorway to assist the team manage the utilities risk following a ‘lack of confidence’ in the incumbent. The role involved establishing a utilities risk & clash register, standardisation of the existing utilities information in accordance AS5488, the coordination of both contestable and non-contestable relocation designs & obtaining certification/approval, defining the survey scope and coordinating with the site teams, managing the relocation and protection of existing utilities during delivering, (noting that the non-contestable scope was provisional sum), costing utilities scope from first principals, constructability and staging advice and oversaw the Sydney Water Engineering Assessments required to demonstrate to SWC that critical large assets could be left in situ without the need for relocations.
