AUS ROLE

AUS has overall responsibility for the management of utilities on behalf of TfNSW. Our commission started with Business Case, through procurement including Tender Negotiations/Contract Award and has continued through Construction. Our Scope included defining the utilities scope, undertaking utility concept designs, 12d modelling, the creation and management of a Utilities GIS, Constructability reviews and staging plans, preparation of Tender Estimates and Utilities Programs and during delivery Contract Admin, Design & Constructability Reviews and claims advice.

Description of Service Scope:

  • Utilities Project Management & Coordination
  • Utility Clash Assessment (Registers & Drawings)
  • Utility Digital Engineering GIS’s & 12D
  • Preparing the Utilities Survey Scope (PS321) and management through G71 
  • Utility Constructability & Staging advice including during delivery
  • Utilities Designs (Contestable – Water & Electrical) & Option Papers, including obtaining Scope of Works and Letters of Offer for the utility Authority
  • Preparation of Utility Tender Estimates and Utility Construction Programs 
  • Interdisciplinary designs reviews 20, 50, 80, 100%
  • Preparing and updating the Utilities Management Plan
  • Utilities Transaction, Contract & Delivery advice
  • Utility Specifications for inclusion in Tender/Contract
  • 3rd Party Utility Agreement advice & Interface Management during Construction
  • Property acquisition and Easements planning & advice
  • Early/Enabling Works Scoping & Management
  • Utilities Contract Administration & Claims Management
