Services include:
- Ability to lead & participate in constructability and staging workshops and discussions.
- Providing a constructability review of all utility treatment designs to ensure they work from an overall project staging and construction perspective, including space and time allowances.
- Providing a review across the project civil disciplines with respect to the utilities affected, to ensure all efficiencies have been considered from a program, risk and cost perspective.
- Ability to challenge contractor programs and claims based on ‘first principles’, actual delivery experience.
Digital Engineering
AUS are passionate about Digital Engineering and have developed a Utilities GIS (Web-based) platform that links seamlessly with our 12d models. Our Utilities GIS performs like a BIM model and enables our team to link ALL information to a utility asset/s such as designs, SoO, LoO, estimates, minutes and correspondence.
The GIS enables the team to manage extremely large datasets, to undertake clash assessments, to draw in relocations, and then to push the data to 12d to enable more detailed coordination/design. (We can also import from 12d). It also acts as a powerful presentational tool as it can incorporate all the project’s civil designs. (We have used it on SLR, PLRs1 & PLRs2, M4, M1 to Raymond Terrace, Nowra Bridge, Pinchpoints and ESC Projects).
Services include:
- Establishing a Digital Utilities Platform based on PS321.
- Development of a utilities GIS incorporating the existing utilities and project civil design.
- Providing an interactive utilities GIS capable of linking/storing supporting information/documentation to the specific utilities.
- Development of a 3d/12d utilities model from the survey data of the existing & proposed utilities for inclusion in the Federated Model.
